FAQs
▼ Is it necessary to drill holes?
No. However, for added stability, we recommend attaching additional safety bolts to your door frame.
▼ How to install with no drilling?
- Ensure that your door frame is stable and sturdy enough to support the pull-up bar. It should be made of either wood or a steel profile and should not feel soft or show signs of cracking when pressure is applied.
- Adjust the pull-up bar to the desired width to fit your door frame, and place it there.
- Rotate or adjust the bar until it's securely wedged between the door frame.
- Keep an eye on your door frame during installation, it should not bend or make cracking noises. If you notice deformation or hear cracking, consider installing the pull-up bar in a different location or screw extra safety bolts to allow a more secure, less tightly-fitted setup.
▼ Why does my bar slide off the door frame?
- The bar may not be tightened enough.
- The bar may not be positioned level within the door frame.
- The silicon padding on the bar may wear over time, due to environmental factors.
- The door frame itself might not be able to hold the pressure from the bar.
- The surface of the door frame is oily or dirty and may not provide sufficient friction.
- Overloading the bar with excess weight can lead to slippage.
- Chaotic or uncontrolled pull-up movements can generate vibrations, causing the bar to shift.
▼ Can I improve the security of the bar?
You can increase friction on contact surfaces by products like grip pads or rubber sheets. You can screw safety bolts to your door frame.
▼ How to not damage my door frame?
- Choose a sturdy enough door frame- wooden or steel profile.
- Keep an eye on your door frame during installation. If you notice deformation or hear cracking, install the pull-up bar in a different place or screw extra safety bolts for a more secure, pressure.
- Check for sharp edges. Ensure there are no elements different than silicon pads that will press your door frame.
▼ On what surfaces can a pull-up bar be installed?
It is best to place the pull-up bar on surfaces such as concrete, plastic, or metal. We do not recommend using wooden door frames, as they are often not securely attached to the door frame lining and can then succumb to the pressure of the crossbar and be damaged.
